Makeup Empties #8

Tuesday, May 26, 2020

Hi girls.
It's time for another makeup empties. I just love finishing makeup products, even though I'm sad when some of my favorites are gone and I have to buy new ones. I'm very much wanting to minimise my collection, so I do give away a lot of makeup. I mainly used up everyday staples such as concealer, mascara and fixing spray. Some disappointed me and some wowed me. You can also find previous makeup empties posts here...

Farmasi CC Cream Light to Medium
This was a really nice CC cream. Sadly the shade was a bit darker, however sometimes I could make it work. It was good for a makeup free day and if I mattified it, it lasted for a few hours on my oily skin.

KIKO Milano Daily Protection BB Cream SPF 30 - 01 Ivory
Sadly this packaging broke at the top, so I had to put it in another container. I really like it. Even though it's quite moisturizing and my skin is oily, I can wear it for a few hours on a free day. I like that it has SPF. Also the shade is nicely light and gives me just a natural light coverage. It has quite a distinct cosmetic scent which I don't mind.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer - 01 Light
One of most talked product in beauty community is definitely this concealer. Yes it has a very nice coverage and looks flawless on the skin. Though the shade Light was just too dark for me. I would use it in the summer only. Maybe the shade Fair or the brightening version would be better for me.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - 001 Transparent
Another must have. This pressed powder is really good as it's not heavy and it nicely mattifies the skin. Plus it's so cheap. I don't see the difference between transparent and other shades because they don't give you much coverage. However they're all great.

Paese Blacker than Black volume and care mascara
This one was really wow. Firstly the brush is extra big but it's a standard bristle brush. It gave my lashes so much volume and it's extra black. I really love the effect and I would totally recommend it. Though because my eyelids are more oily, it would transfer onto my upper lid.

Oriflame Giordani Gold Incredible Length Mascara
This mascara was really nice. Even though it was lengthening, I also felt like it gave me really a lot of volume. The brush is standard with lots of bristles.

Golden Rose Mascara Volume - Thickening Mascara With Provitamin
This is a blue mascara which I was excited about trying. But then after a few uses I forgot about it, so I had to throw it out as it dried out. Still it was a really nice bright blue color and so fun to play with. It's hard to find really nice colored mascaras in drugstore.
Repurchase: maybe

Rimmel Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascara
This one was also a quite nice volumizing mascara. However the brush was really big and it started to clump my lashes. It just didn't wow me and I prefer other drugstore mascaras.

L´Oréal Paris False Lash Wings Mascara
I love L'Oreal mascaras because they usually give me an amazing volume, however this one was not my favorite. I simply hate it because of the strange brush which is supposed to look like a butterfly wing. I can't seem to get it to work and then it just clumps my lashes. But the Intenza version of this mascara is absolutely gorgeous and gives me an amazing look.

Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara
This mascara was in my disappointing products post here. I don't know why I kept it in my drawer. It was an ok mascara, but for the price it just wasn't worth it. I haven't seen a brush like that before.

Estée Lauder Little Black Primer
I actually really liked this primer. It was black which is rare as primers are usually white. Though because of that it looked very natural on the lashes and if I wore it on it's own, it would give me just a natural look for a no makeup day but still it was volumizing and a bit lengthening. But at the same time it's just such an unnecessary product for me.
Repurchase: probably not

MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ Makeup Setting Spray
This is such a hyped up product in beauty community. I used up a travel version just to see how it works. But honestly this is a refreshing fixing mist which just eliminates powdery look. I don't think it's as fixing in comparison to Urban Decay All Nighter spray which is really good in the heat or for a really good long wear.

Urban Decay Quick Fix Hydracharged Complexion Prep Priming Spray
I got this spray in a set with All Nighter. I loved the coconut smell which felt so refreshing but at the same time it's quite a heavy scent. Though I think it was more like a toner or to refresh yourself when skin is feeling a bit tight. I didn't always like it under makeup because I really had to wait for it to sink in well. But I did like it on top of the makeup when my skin felt tight or I just needed refreshing.

Real Techniques Miracle Mini Eraser Sponge
I love these sponges for blending my concealer. Sadly they have their use time, so this one is not useful anymore because it became stiff and hard to blend with. So I have to buy another set. I love these because they're small and you can really get into the corners of the eyes or around the nose.
